Pet Portraits

Our pets mean so much to us and a portrait celebrates that unique bond between us.
My pet portrait work:
Our pets mean so much to us and a portrait celebrates that unique bond between us.
I work in pastel, both soft and oil; acrylic or watercolour, whichever medium lends itself best to my subject, however I enjoy the intimacy that working in pastel creates.
Each finished piece of work is as unique as its depicted subject.
I prefer to work from my own original source material and photographs, Sometimes, this is not possible as the pet may have passed on or live too far away. In this situation, I work from the client's own digital photos.
A video of the pet at play or in its home surroundings can be helpful for gauging the character and personality of the pet, every bit as important as a good wet nose and twinkly eyes.
Through my work I have been able to support
Lifeline4kids.org, Variety, Children's Charity Golfing Society and TheCharityAngels.com
The natural beauty of trees and woods:
Whether it is a London park, or outside of urban setting, in the countryside, to be surrounded by lush greenery and towering trees, captivates the heart and mind and soothes the soul. Pennie Cunliffe-Lister draws inspiration from the ever changing colours of the seasons, and the play of sunlight filtering through the leaves, falling on the textures of the bark, connecting with the natural world and in particular woods, forests and the starkness of the trees especially silver birches against a winter skyline and the sea translating its essence into art. Human actions have had a profound impact on the environment. Pennie reminds us of the fragility of nature and the need to protect our forests for future generations and to acknowledge the interconnectedness of all living things.
Commission the artist and welcome the woods and trees into your home.
